How It Works

Let’s consider a hypothetical scenario. Suppose a spouse, say, the husband,
wants to appoint his wife as his Nominee.
Then, he may share his information in the following way

After signing up on My Folio as a Nominator, by first going to the ‘Nominee/Nominator’ tab, and then opting for ‘My Nominator’. Then, he’ll click the ‘Add Nominee’ option and add her email ID, upon which she will receive an OTP on her email ID. She will share the OTP with her husband to be added as his Nominee.

The husband can share a specific piece or the entirety of his information with his wife in real-time, using the ‘Share Now’ feature.

In case the wife wants to request for this information from her husband, she can go to the ‘Profile’ section, and under ‘Nominator/Nominee’ tab, and opt for ‘My Nominator’. Then, she can choose the option that says ‘Request All information’.

The wife will be shown a timer counting backwards, and set for 11 days. Once 11 days are completed, and if no action is taken on the request sent (that is, the request is neither accepted nor denied), the wife can view her husband’s information in the app.

The husband, on the other hand, will receive a notification on his phone and on his email, confirming whether he wants to accept or deny his wife’s request.

If the husband accepts this request, the information will be shared with the wife immediately. If he denies it, the request will be canceled. The husband can also revoke his acceptance at any time after sharing his information.
